Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Welcome to the Catholic Community on Langley AFB in Virginia.  The pastoral ministry on Langley AFB serves the sacramental, spiritual and pastoral needs of the Catholic active duty airmen assigned to Langley AFB and to their families.  This ministry is extended to active duty members and their families of the Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard who are assigned to the many bases in the vicinity of Langley AFB or to duties on Langley AFB.  This ministry is also extended to retired members of the military to the extent permitted by the Archdiocese for Military Services and the U.S. Air Force directives.

In addition to regular Sunday liturgies, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Community, as the spiritual home of active duty members of the military and their families, provides opportunities to prepare for and to receive all the sacraments.  A full religious education program is offered for the children and teens of our community.  Preparation and celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation) are part of our regular religious education program.

This website is a resource for Catholics assigned to Langley AFB and to Catholics in general.  Schedules for Masses celebrated at Langley Chapel and Bethel Chapel can be found on this site as well as the schedule of Masses on the nearby Army bases and at the Catholic Churches in the vicinity of Langley AFB.  Weekly bulletins, ministry schedules, and announcements can be found on this site.  This site also provides Catholics with much information about our Catholic Faith.

As your pastor/chaplain, I am here to serve you.  I bring to you thirty-five years of pastoral experience.  In addition to extensive theological and pastoral education and training, I have a doctorate in counseling.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you believe I can help you in your human development, in your spiritual development, in your marriage or in your family life.

Let us pray for one another and, together, do the work God entrusted to us for making the kingdom of God “on earth as it is in heaven.”

Your brother in Christ,

Rev. Eugene R. Kole, OFM Conv., D.Min.
